One
Million Minds - why?
The idea for One Million Minds came about through my interest
in computer programming and my work as an artist, a painter...

page
Where
is my mind?
IT WILL ARRIVE!!!
People are often confused when they answer the questions
but don't immediately get their Mind and don't know why
they haven't got it. One Million Minds is not created
on the internet, on the server this website is served
from. The answers are downloaded from the website and
the Mindscapes created by the program I wrote on my computer
at home. The technicalities of writing a program that
could work on the server were beyond me as I am primarily
a painter, not a professional programmer, and so the software
I've written is constrained by my programming abilities.
To find out more about how One Million Minds works see
the question "How does it work?" above or click
here. But please be assured that if you have answered
the questions and get to the thankyou page your mind WILL
be created. I endeavour to make all Minds within 24hrs
of the questions being answered.
How
does it work?
1.
First you answers the questions in the flash movie.
Your answers are temporarily stored on the server
that tis website is served from. |
|
2.
Next, at some point in the following 24hrs I will
instruct my program to downlaod your answers and
create your Mindscape. |
|
3.
Your Mindscape is uploaded and an email is sent
to you, if you have provided your email address,
with a link to your Mindscape. |
|
What
does it mean?
The interpretation of the Mindscape created from your
answers is not an easy thing to define. In the image you
are dealing with my state of mind as I wrote the interpretation
engine of the software, your reaction to the imagery in
the flash movie, your interpretation of the questions
you answer, and how you see yourself at the time you answer
the questions.
The image is not the result of a phsycometric test or
some kind of accurate portrayal of your character that
everyone you know will recognise. You must realise that
there is often a vast difference between how you see yourself
and how others see you. When you are asked direct quesions
in the privacy of your own Mind you might reveal things
about yourself that others may not realise or you may
not even realise yourself. It gives you an opportunity
to think about yourself in the same way that I as an artist
think about myself and of course these two different thought
processes may be very different
So perhaps the most accurate way to describe what you
see is as an interpretation of your Mind through mine,
a converation of Minds not words.
